Frisbee Golf

Fun in the tropical Jungle! One of the fastest growing international sports is Frisbee Golf, now available on Samui. A full 18 hole course set in about 20 acres, taking around 2 hours to complete, can be found by the Monkey Theatre in the Bophut area. Free shuttle bus pick up 01 8942105.

Canopy Adventures

Enjoy an exciting tree top experience, gliding above the canopy on 300 meters of cable on four separate rides. Good family fun, fantastic views and a Jungle Hammock Bar to chill out in after the action. Located near Maenem. Tel: 077 414 150-1 and 07 046 7307. No experience is required and there is a free shuttle service every hour. Wear some sensible and sturdy shoes!

Samui Quads & 3D Paintball

Get the adrenaline pumping with an exciting quad bike ride on an extensive purpose built track behind Maenem-adults only. Or play a variety of exciting adventure paintball games with a group of friends in the jungle. Kids are welcome. There is also a new quad bike track opened-see local ads for details. Karting

The Go Kart track is located off the main ring road near Bophut, opposite Euphoria Resort. Fun, Pro and Speed carts are available for all levels of expertise, if you really want to hurtle around at speeds around 100kph! Tel 077 425097.



Mountain Biking

Bike hire is available at various places around the island and you can simply use the bike as a healthy alternative to motorised transport, test your edurance on road biking around the ring road ( highly dangerous!) or explore high in the cool of the mountains and get to see parts of the island that most people miss. Different organised tours are available for differing physical abilities or levels of masochism! Shooting

Near Chaweng, on the ring road close to Tesco's, choose from a wide range of guns with live ammunition for target shooting, under the expert supervision of professionals. Choose your weapon from small pistols to assault guns, open each day from 9am to 6pm. Tel 425370


Bungy Jumping

Face your fears and get the adrenalin pumping with a 50 meter jump! Professionaly managed by British Jumpmasters for a safe but knee trembling experience. These sure footed animals are ever popular and various rides are available around the island. There is no better way to see the jungle. Honest!



Thai Boxing


Different from our other activities in that you will not be participating personally, however, it noisy and violent enough to be considered more than simply a place to visit! Muay Thai is one of the world's most dangerous martial arts and is quite a spectacle of grace and style, with much pre-fight ceremony, loud traditional music and several hours of action with up to 9 or ten bouts. We suggest you book in advance and plan to stay for an hour or so, unless you are a particularly keen fight fan. The main stadium is in Chaweng near the Reggae Pub. 9pm MOnday and Friday, regularly and noisily promoted around the island.
