Surrounded by warm waters year round it is no surprise that Samui boasts a wealth of water sports. Sailing in particular is undergoing a rapid expansion with the now permanent fixture of the Koh Samu Tropical island Regatta and the arrival of Sunsail Flotillas.

Snorkeling

For the combination of fantastic scenery above and below the water snorkeling on Koh Samui and surrounding islands is simply a must. Now based at Fishermans Village, Bophut, Sunsail are offering flotilla sailing, a great way to get into sailing as an enjoyable leisure sport, and bareboat charter, through to September. More info at www.sunsail.com

Diving

Samui and the surrounding Island are world famous for the excellent water port diving sites that are available for all levels of expertise, with instruction available from various operators for the novice.



Kiteboarding/Kitesurfing

A sport rapidly gaining in popularity and based on two centres on Samui, depending upon the weather and prevailing winds. Samui is an excellent location to learn the sport with shallow, sandy bays and a protective reef. Kayaking
