Villa Samadhi
The first time we came to Kho Samui, beside being impressed by the beauty of this tropical island, we had a feeling of relaxation, we simply found ourselves slowing down as time ceased to exist. Thai people, althought they were having an hard life, were always smiling and happy, even the stray dogs were not aggressive and were very relaxed. We suddently realized that in the west we rush too much and decided to chance our life style. We found a plot of land in an area we liked very much because it was very quite but at the same time had all the infrastructures and facilities we needed. We liked the idea of beeing in a tropical island , on a semi deserted beach, in a hidden away place, but we also liked to feel safe and secure. We have hospitals, shops, eveything we need around and that was our ideal place. We liked it so much, that we decided to build our own house, the house of our dream. We love Thai people, we love their culture, their simple way of living and in building our house we wanted it to be Thai style, simple, functionable and in harmony with the enveroment, with very big open air spaces to lounge down and feel one with nature, with its colour, sounds and scents but also with all the conforts to be completely relaxed.
The long white sand beach, fringed with the cocunuts trees palms swinging in the cooling oceanic breeze, the clear crystal water, emerald green, make you feel you are in an unreal word, you are in Paradise, in the Eden Garden as describe by the Old Testament. We had had a kind of Heaven on Earth experience and we started to materialize our dream and now it has become true. We live here most of the time but when we go back to Europe we would like to give some one else the opportunity to have this extraordinary experience. We would be very happy to share this peace of Paradise with you.

Villa Description
The villa has three entrances. One at the back and two at the front. The back entrance give access to an air conditioned utility room which can be used as a spare single bedroom . This room has washing machine and fridge and it is very functionable to keep laggage and to store things. One of the front entrance gives access to the master double bedroom. From this bedroom completely folded glass doors lead to a big furnished terrace. On the left inside of this terrace there is a fish lotus pond which a fountain. The other front entrance give access to the the air conditioned living room area and a full equipped kitchen. Also here the completely folded glass door open to the dining area on the terrace. At the back of the living room there is the second twin bedroom with aircon and ensuite facilities. The living room is equipped with pixel tecnology Tv, cinema surround, dvd and vcd stereo player.
Both the terraces have access to a very secluded pool surrounded by a lush tropical scented garden enlighted by Chang Mai style lamps which help to create a very warm and romantic atmosphere.

The Locality
Our villa is situated on the lower part of the private gated hillside village of Santi Thani. Santi Thani is a 15 minutes journey from the airport and is located on the quitest north cost of Kho Samui. The beautiful beach is only a ten minutes walk from the villa through the landscaped gardens of Santi Thani. There are several bars and restaurants dotted along the beach. This part of the coast boast some spectacular sunsets at various times of the year. There is local shop situated at the entrance which will provide guests with day to day necessities. For a fuller shop there is a Tesco Lotus superstore on the island.
Around the island to the west is the island’s main town of Nathon, a 15 minute drive by car or local bus. This is a great place for souvrenirs hunting and there are also several supermarkets.
To the east are the villages of Maenam and Bophut, which are about a 10-15 drive where arrangments can be made for sightseeing, boat trips, fishing trips, diving, snorkling and many other activities. Maenam has several reaturants and is home to the islands early morning market.
Bophut is a quaint fishing village hosting some really good pubs and bars and wonderful beachside restaurants with spectacular sunset views.
Chaweng, the islands main center for night-life, is a 30 minutes journey away. This is the ideal place for those seeking a livlier holiday!
